Melrose Arch Mammography inc. is the new face of Parklane Women’s Imaging Centre. The new practice has the same staff, state-of-the-art equipment and radiologists. But in a spacious, easily accessible, and beautiful new department. The Parklane practice was the first internationally accredited breast imaging unit in Africa. We participate in some of the leading breast cancer teams in the country, and are the only practice offering cancer cryoablation. At MAMI, you will have access to highly experienced doctors and the latest mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy equipment. We strive for medical excellence, but as importantly, our goal is to create a comfortable, caring environment for our patients.

Done under ultrasound or mammographic guidance and with local anesthesia. A number of small samples are extracted with a biopsy needle and sent to the pathologist for microscopy and other special tests to determine whether the lump is a cancer and if so, what type. This will ultimately determine treatment

Parklane Radiology (PLR) was established in January 2012 when Drs Schoub and Said took over the hospital radiology department. At the time, the department was underutilized, and offered very limited services, mostly on obsolete equipment.
In the ten years since, the department has been renovated, decorated and modernized. The addition of an MRI machine provided the means to do high level pelvic, neurological, breast and musculoskeletal imaging. The MRI anaesthetic unit enables us to scan children of any age safely and efficiently.
Our newest CT machine has just been installed. The latest multi-slice scanner technology and dose-lowering options will allow us to obtain high resolution scans of the brain, sinuses, chest and abdomen at the lowest (safest) radiation dose. . Parklane Radiology uses state-of-the-art picture archiving (PACS), billing and reporting systems (RIS) which ensures efficient administration as well as easy access to studies and reports for referring doctors.
In particular, PLR provides expert radiology in paediatric patients, breast cancer and general oncology work-up, and gynaecological conditions. Close collaboration with referring doctors and a warm, friendly approach to our patients, are the pillars on which Parklane Radiology is built.
